God In Our Lives
The awareness of God's supreme power must propel us forward in our faith walk like never before. We are often confronted with spiritual challenges that we perceive are unmanageable and completely overwhelming. They usually are when we measure our own capabilities to the task at hand. However, when we add the dimension that offers us the answer and the needed insight, the challenges are less cumbersome and our victory moves in sight. Let us thank God for His promise to never leave us and to keep us in his perfect peace. We must recognize that to be in His will requires effort on our part.
We are given choices. These choices are the stairways to Divine Order:
- Do we want to see God move in our lives?
- Do we want to receive the unsearchable riches in the kingdom?
- Do we want to walk in His favor?
- Do we want to see His power in operation?
It can and will happen if we just make Him first in everything. Matthew 6:33 may be a starting point today.
A Desire for God
The focus of the church in the world today is undergoing tremendous changes. The desire of many to seek new ways of doing old things is comparable to others doing old things in new ways. The greatest move of God will not come from programs meeting the needs of everyone by offering everything they desire, but seeking the face of God.
Matthew 6:33 should motivate us to seek first the kingdom. We can’t seek the kingdom without being acquainted with the kingdom maker. When we desire the King and hunger for Him, we began a quest of spiritual fulfillment at the highest level. The many ways that people seek satisfaction is fruitless unless Jesus is at the center. It appears that often people of God want the fire without getting close to the fire. We want the feeling without letting the source get close enough to make a difference. To hunger for God requires a desire beyond the obvious. A yearning to have God take full control of our lives is a major move on our part. It requires us to release all our anxieties on him. To allow our prayers to go beyond the barriers of our belief system, we must reach a point in our spiritual growth that by wanting Him so much to be a part of our lives that nothing else matters. What a difference it would be if we have a heart to hunger to have Jesus assume full control of all areas of our life.
What would it be like to trust Him completely? How would life seem to have all concerns in the Masters care?
